It is a popular misconception that Freemasonry is open to only men. In fact, there are two organisations for women in Freemasonry; the Honourable Fraternity of Ancient Freemasons (HFAF) and the Order of Women Freemasons (OWF).
Both organisations follow the same ceremonies as the male Craft Masonic Lodges and use the same regalia.
Preston Guild Lodge No 4408 is mirrored in Freemasonry for Women by Preston Guild Lodge No 29 which was created in 1952 for the Guild of that year. This lodge operates under the HFAF structure and meets at the Chorley Masonic Centre.
