A GREAT START TO 2024

A GREAT START TO 2024

23rd September 2024 Off By jp

What a way to start a new year! Preston Guild Lodge No 4408 not only initiated a new member, but also welcomed SEVEN Joining Members into the Lodge.

Dominic Ndulue was welcomed into Freemasonry in a sincere and warm ceremony performed by members of the lodge with long and short experience in Freemasonry. Dominic has had a long interest in becoming a Freemason with a desire to emulate his Grandfather, who was a Freemason in his native Nigeria. He was delighted by the warm welcome given to him since he made first contact at the Preston Masonic Hall Open Day.

Last December, Ingol Lodge of St Margaret surrendered it’s warrant due to falling numbers. Preston Guild Lodge have been honoured that six of those remaining members have chosen to become joining members. The vast experience that they bring with them has truly strengthened the depth of Masonic Talent in the lodge. Indeed, three members immediately took up offices: Paul Shuttleworth as Senior Warden, Paul McKernan as Charity Steward and Steve Croasdale as Assistant Director of Ceremonies. They were joined by Hedley Wade, Gowan O’Hagan and Robert Edelston. Also joining the PGL family was Alan Whittle who has been absent from Preston Craft Masonry for a while. Alan is a valuable member of the Group Team as Visiting Volunteer. Yet more experience to support the lodge.

We now look forward to our next meeting on the 26th February when we will welcome three more new Brothers into Freemasonry in a Triple First Degree Ceremony.
