A DOUBLE CELEBRATION
Preston Guild Lodge No 4408 had an Ingol Lodge of St Margaret No 8544 night to perform a double celebration.
The Lodges first Student Initiate since joining the UGLE Universities Scheme was ready to become a Master Mason. Radu has been a start performer and proved to be so with a perfect performance at his ceremony. To mark the occasion, the Lodge specially commissioned a Master Masons Apron Cake!
May 2024 would have been Ingol’s 50th Anniversary. Sadly, they handed their Warrant in just five months before the landmark. With the majority of Ingol members becoming joining members of Preston Guild Lodge it was only fitting that an “Ingol Night” was held.
For the whole of the evening, the Master and Wardens Chairs were occupied by Past Masters of the Lodge of Ingol St Margaret No 8544. Gowan O’Hagan was the Master while Steve Croasdale and Paul McKernan were the Wardens for the night. A little bit of Ribbleton crept into the act as Allan Wilkinson delivered a magnificent Traditional History.
Assistant PGM, Peter Lockett, was on hand to witness the double celebration. He commented on Preston Guild being gracious in encouraging a celebration for Ingol and vacating the Principal Officers Chairs for them. He also congratulated Radu on becoming a Master Mason in such fine style.
Gowan and Radu then cut the cake at a lively festive board.
