PG 4408 Support West Lancs Foodbank Appeal

In early November, the Provincial Grand Master launched the Province of West Lancashire Freemasons’ Food Bank Support Appeal. The intent was for all the local Groups within West Lancashire to co-ordinate collections of foodstuffs to be distributed to their Local Food Banks.

The Preston Group determined to support the Preston Salvation Army Food Banks and Preston Guild Lodge were delighted to contribute towards this important cause in these incredibly difficult times.

Tim Horton, the Master of the Lodge, formally handed over our contribution at Preston Masonic Hall. The Brethren of the Lodge are immensely proud to have delivered £350.00 worth of products to the Preston Group for onward distribution.

In response to the request by the Salvation Army, we provided a range of basics such as cereals, tined fruit, meat and vegetables as well as pasta and rice. But as the Food Bank is preparing Christmas Hampers we included some tinned sweets, cookies, shortbread and mince pies.

We hope that we have made a difference that will help those in need.
